This is such a fascinating article -- I was this days old that I learned the Samaritans had a history of failed revolts ...makes them all the more Israelite to me. Absolutely fascinating that Am Israel seems to have been incapable of living under foreign rule until we were beaten into submission over 500 or more years. Gives the yearning for a return to Jerusalem over 2000 years of exile all the more color.
