The idea of moving Israel's population core east is an old one. Peres supported Kedumim in part as being in good commuting distance to Netanya. Maale Adunim was founded to commute to Jerusalem. Etc.

More recently, Gallant in 2024 supported developing a new city between Ariel and Kfar Tapuach. He viewed moving the population center eastward as important.

But notice that the above settlement ideas put forth by non-messianists involve some functional relation to existing population centers, rather than a scattershot land grab approach.

And the policy of separation since Oslo has deprived various Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria and Israel-proper of access to the most natural urban centers with which they would otherwise engage. Although it seems Jews as of late have been wandering more and more into Tulkarem, Jericho, Nablus, Qalqilya, Taybeh, etc.

Normies are finding life in Zion harder and harder thanks to the current administration of corrupt crazies and their boot lickers. We live in a hope that the damages might be somewhat healed over time. That said, to establish norms takes a very long time - to violate norms takes much less.
